How AI is Impacting Productivity in Software Engineering

As a senior fellow at the Collegium Helveticum and as academic visitor to the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Informatics at the University of Zurich, Margaret-Anne Storey will investigate how AI and large language models impact developer flow, developer experience, developer productivity, and developer tools (e.g., code review).

These projects will involve empirical studies to observe software developers as they work on large scale software development in large software teams. She will furthermore present talks on disruptive automation technologies in software engineering, such as AI, software bots, and social media, highlighting the benefits of these automations but also their risks.
