Therapeutic Drug Monitoring at the Site of Infections Wearable, Continuous, and Lab-Independent
The aim of this fellow project is to contribute to the fight against the silent pandemic of antimicrobials, as modern medicine finds itself at the edge of an abyss when it comes to the treatment of infectious diseases. For this, a cutting-edge concept of a wearable-based platform for therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of antimicrobials is designed within five interdisciplinary blocks (patient engagement, biomedical engineering, device cross-connectivity, clinics, and translational medicine). The different blocks are supported by distinguished, international experts of the respective fields. After the conclusion of the fellowship at the Collegium Helveticum, the final concept will be submitted for funding to develop a prototype for clinical testing.
