The French economist Gabriel Zucman is considered a pioneer of tax justice. In February, he was invited to present the Global Tax Evasion Report 2024 at the Collegium and to discuss the main findings on the dynamics of global tax evasion and international tax competition with Madeline Woker (Collegium Helveticum), Alice Pirlot (Graduate Institute Geneva), and Marius Brülhart (University of Lausanne). Beforehand, Zucman talked with Renato Beck from the Wochenzeitung about the progress made in international tax policy. And he explained why a global minimum tax for the super-rich is coming next.
