Hazhar Jamali (born 1992 in Kurdistan) is a legal scholar whose research focuses on climate change, environmental governance, and human rights.
He holds a PhD in International and European Law from Palacký University Olomouc (CZ), where his doctoral research examined the causes and consequences of different forms of backlash against international human rights courts from a socio-legal perspective. Since September 2023, he has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich (CH), where he conducts research on climate change and human rights.
