Thierry Favier is Professor of Musicology at the University of Poitiers and a member of the Centre de Recherche Interdisciplinaire en Histoire, Histoire de l’art et Musicologie (CRIHAM). His research focuses on religion, politics, and identity in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century French music. As a senior fellow at the Collegium, he investigated the complex and multifaceted relationship between music and religion, and their impact on the European Enlightenment.
