Collegium Helveticum

Information on External Event Requests

Priority for the use of the event rooms at the Semper Observatory is given to events organized by fellows or staff of the Collegium. Subject to approval by the Collegium’s director, the Meridian Hall or Rudolf Wolf Room may be used for external events. These usually take the form of representational events by the Collegium’s supporting universities. Cooperation events by members of the supporting universities or by other cooperation partners may also be possible.

Representative events

by supporting universities

The two event rooms at the Semper Observatory may be used for representative events by the Collegium’s supporting universities, subject to room availability and approval by the Collegium’s director. Representative events require the explicit support of either a member of the Collegium’s governing board or a member of the supporting universities’ executive board.

We ask members of the Collegium’s supporting universities interested in hosting an event at the Collegium to fill out the designated external reservation request form for representative events.

Cooperation events

by supporting universities or other cooperation partners

In exceptional cases, cooperation events with the Collegium are possible either by members of the supporting universities or by other cooperation partners (e.g., third party academic or cultural institutions). All cooperation events are subject to room availability and require the approval from the Collegium’s director.

If you are interested in such a cooperation, please reach out to Mario Wimmer by phone (+41 44 632 24 62) or email, with a brief initial proposal for a cooperation event that shall be cross-disciplinary in character.
