Schweizer Landschaften im Kino (Swiss Landscapes in Films) An Online Exhibition
In her fellowship project, Jacqueline Maurer created the Schweizer Landschaften im Kino online exhibition: a continuously-updated website focusing on documentary and feature films in which rural landscapes in Switzerland play a leading role.
The development of this mapped, illustrated, and commented-upon collection initiated an inter- and transdisciplinary exploration of rural landscapes both on location and through the medium of film. To enable an interdisciplinary exchange, Jacqueline has also been interviewing practitioners and researchers—such as film directors, architects, historians, and geographers. The website serves as a platform for everyone interested in aesthetic, cultural, ecological, economic, historical, political, and social dimensions related to a holistic understanding of landscapes via cinema. In addition to her fellowship, Jacqueline also curated film series and served on juries for film festivals.
