Viktoriia Yasenok’s main research areas are infectious and chronic disease epidemiology. During her senior fellowship at the Collegium, Viktoriia responded to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the grave public health crisis it brought about. In an international workshop, she connected specialists from public and mental health, political sciences, psychology, survey development, social media, and other disciplines to develop a professional, high-quality digital questionnaire to survey the mental health of people living in Ukraine and its diaspora.
Before joining the Collegium, Viktoriia worked as an Associate professor at the Department of Public Health of Sumy State University (Ukraine) for about 10 years. She graduated and completed a PhD in Medicine with a specialization in Pediatrics at the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University in 2013 (Ukraine). She is currently a researcher at the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute of the University of Zurich.
